Stage 1
Pre-pregnancy Assessment

Physical examination at a top-tier domestic hospital

Prospective mother: B-ultrasound, six sex hormones, AMH, etc. (to be checked on the 2nd-3rd day of the menstrual cycle).

Prospective father: sperm analysis, etc.

Video consultation with a U.S. clinic

A video consultation with a U.S. reproductive medicine doctor who to create a personalized IVF medical plan based on the examination reports.

IVF cycle schedule

The clinic will provide a medication schedule (including medication plan, medication cycle, initial consultation date in the U.S., and estimated egg retrieval date), enabling prospective parents to plan their trip to the U.S. accordingly.

Stage 2
Embryo Cultivation

The prospective mother arrives at the clinic for ovarian stimulation and egg retrieval

The prospective mother will need to stay in the U.S. for about 20 days, adhering to the scheduled follow-up visits and related examinations. On the egg retrieval day, she will undergo anesthesia for the procedure and should rest in bed for 1-2 days before departing.

The prospective father can either provide a sample at a laboratory in Hong Kong or accompany the prospective mother to the U.S. clinic to provide the sample.

Embryo cultivation

After egg retrieval and rest, the prospective parents can return to their home country. The laboratory will proceed with ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection), AHA (Assisted Hatching), PGS (Preimplantation Genetic Screening/Third-Generation IVF), and embryo freezing.

Embryo results

Approximately 20 days after egg retrieval, the clinic will inform the prospective parents about the number and gender of healthy embryos and offer a detailed explanation of the embryo grades.

Stage 3
Surrogate Matching

Select a surrogate

Fill out the prospective parents' information form and provide surrogate candidates based on their specific needs.

Communicate with the selected surrogate

Coordinate a video call between the prospective parents and the selected surrogate, and accompany the prospective parents during the video conversation.

Review the surrogate's medical records

Collect the selected surrogate's past medical records related to pregnancies and deliveries, and submit them to the clinic for medical review.

Sign the contract and making the initial payment

The prospective parents sign a surrogacy service contract with Emmy Life Center and pay the initial payment within five business days.

Surrogate completes psychological test and background check

Schedule a psychologist for the surrogate's psychological screening and coordinate a third-party agency to conduct a background check on the surrogate.

Surrogate completes physical examination

Schedule an appointment at the clinic for the surrogate to undergo a physical examination according to her menstrual cycle.

Sign legal documents and pay the remaining balance

The lawyer drafts the surrogacy agreement, which is signed and notarized by both the prospective parents and the surrogate. The remaining balance is paid within five business days.

Stage 4
Embryo Transfer

Transfer cycle schedule

The prospective parents confirm the gender and number of embryos to be transferred.

The surrogate undergoes regular blood tests and ultrasounds as per the cycle schedule.

On the transfer day, the surrogate undergoes the embryo transfer procedure.

Pregnancy confirmation

Ten days after the embryo transfer, two blood tests are conducted to confirm pregnancy.

Two weeks after the blood test, an ultrasound confirms the baby's heartbeat.

After three ultrasounds, the IVF medical process ends, and the surrogate enters the obstetric process (regular prenatal check-ups, early NIPT testing)

Stage 5
Pregnancy Management

Pregnancy management

During pregnancy, Emmy Life Center regularly accompanies the surrogate for prenatal check-ups and ensures seamless communication of the prospective parents' care and warmth.

20 weeks pregnant

The lawyer drafts the PBO (Pre-Birth Order) parentage document, which is then issued by the court.

30 weeks pregnant - Travel to the U.S. to await the baby's birth

The prospective parents arrange for a postpartum care center or accommodation in the U.S. after the baby's birth. A stay of approximately one month is recommended.

The prospective parents travel to the U.S. ahead of the due date to prepare for the delivery.

Bringing the baby back to the home country

It is recommended to return to the home country after the baby is one month old. We provide consultation services for processing the newborn's relevant documents: birth certificate, DNA report, U.S. passport, social security number, Chinese travel document, and triple authentication (which involves verification by three levels of government agencies: county, state, and federal).

This authentication system ensures the authenticity and reliability of the birth certificate.
